Annecy

Saturday 15th September

Mummy's day today and so we went off to see Annecy. This visit has been postponed last week so Neil could do the Col d'Izeran before a couple of days of bad weather. Today the sun was shining and it was perfect. An hour down the auto route and we arrived and began wandering around the old town with it's canals.

It was a lovely town with lots of old buildings constructed around canals, with cafes and colourful shops dotted around. There were arched tunnels connected by cobblestone walkways, with crystal clear water flowing through the canals with swans swanning around. It was a picture perfect town.

We explored for a few hours before going to a large park overlooking the lake to have our lunch.

There were lots of people out and about enjoying the sun and the gorgeous surroundings, but we had to make our way home to clean the car and do the final pack for our move to Paris in the morning.
