Saturday 7th July until Saturday 21st July - Our adventure started in Scotland,  staying in Linlithgow approx 20 miles from Edinburgh.  We visited Neil's family and Heather and Callum met the other side of the family for the first time.  So lots of family get togethers, Scottish pub lunches and castles and a weather-cancelling attempt to see puffins.

Saturday 21st July until Saturday 11th August - France - Pyrenees staying in Bagnerres de Bigorre

Saturday 11th August until Saturday 25th August - Provence staying in Saint Saturnin les Apt

Climbs Neil will be conquering in Provence

1. Mont Ventoux, riding more than once and probably in several different directions (HC)

Provence is where many hill top villages, ancient monuments and stunning countryside will be visited at a leisurely pace.

Saturday 25th August until Saturday 8th September - Southern Alps staying in Bourg d'Oisan

Saturday 8th September until Sunday 16th September - Northern Alps (well a little further north from where we were) staying in St Gervais les Bains

Sunday 16th September till Wednesday 26th September - Paris

Neil gives up the bike and will be sightseeing the city of love with the family he loves.  The usual city monuments will be taken in with a few day trips out of the city limits.  We are staying by the Jardins de Luxembourg (Luxembourg Gardens) which has a huge playground to keep the kids happy at the end of each day looking at old stuff.

Wednesday 26th September fly home arriving in the evening of Thursday 27th September
